How to Migrate Data into Existing Database?

How to Overwrite Existing Table Structure?

If you want to overwrite the table definitions, you can specify to generate DROP TABLE statements in SQLWays, see the "Generate the drop table statements" option.

How to Load the Data into Existing Table Structure?

To load the data into existing table structure without recreating it, uncheck the "Generate DDL" option. In this case, SQLWays will only transfer data.

You can find this option on the “Specify DDL and Data Options” page. You just need to click on “Tables” branch and on the “DDL” tab select “Generation Options” in the dropdown box. After that please uncheck “Generate DDL” option and run the migration. In that case SQLWays Wizard tool will extract, convert and migrate only the data, without the objects definitions.

Also before running the migration please check whether the “Export Data” option is switched on. To do that, please click on the “Data” tab on the same page:

Ispirer Note:
Please note, when running the migration of only the data, you need to be sure that there are no any constraints in the database that will not allow to push the data into the tables in your target database. Otherwise, you will have to disable such constraints in your database before the migration. And enable them after the migration process will be finished.
