Progress: ODBC Driver Installation

• Before install the Progress OpenEdge ODBC please install the JDK to the PC if necessary and set correct JavaHome directory in the oedk_response.ini file:

  [Select JavaHome Dialog]
  JavaHome=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-19

• Run the installer for PROGRESS database
• Go through the pages of Wizard by pressing on button 'Next'.

• Read and accept the license agreement.

• Close the installer by pressing on button “Finish”

As soon as the client is installed, the “32-bit ODBC Data Source Administrator” must be updated with the appropriate driver (If you are using the 64-bit version of Windows, you can find the 32-bit “ODBC Data Source Administrator” in this directory: c:\Windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe):

If the appropriate driver is there, the installation is complete.

After the installation process is finished, please set up the ODBC connection to your Progress database. Here you can find additional information on how to do it: ODBC Driver Configuration.
