Number of Lines of Code (LOC)

To determine how many lines of code there is in your Sybase database, you may use the Sybase Central utility. In the Sybase Central you should select “Tools”→“SQL Anywhere 12”→“Unload Database”.

Then specify a database for unloading. You may choose it from the current version of the server or from the earlier one.

Here you need to select “Unload into a reload file”.

After that, specify the file name.

And here you need to select “Unload all database objects” or, if you want to unload some specific objects, select the second option.

After clicking on the “Finish” button, the unload log should appear.

You can find your SQL file at the specified location.

You can use any text editor to count the number of lines of code. To find out the number of lines of code, you should scroll to the end of the file and click the last line. On the lower right corner you will be able to see the number of this last line which is the number of lines of code in your SQL file.

So you can use the generated SQL file to count the lines of codes of exported objects.
